Carolina Tire and Brakes Mt Pleasant , Lady's beware 150 dollar quote turns in to 1000 dollar ripoff. I have been a mechanic and service manager for 40 years. While I was out of town my wife took her Volvo XC 40 in for and oil change. This year I did the brakes on this vehicle. With out asking permission the replaced all the brakes and rotors. They called her for the make and model, a der you have the car in the shop its written on it along with the VIN. Never asked for permission to do any work. They also said they repacked the wheel bearings, Not a thing on this car so another lie, final bill $996.32. Today we had a set of tires put on the same car, pity they did not pick that up as they had them all off supposedly. I will be checking when I'm home. Guess what, the tire shop I used to use not longer exists they are no longer trustworthy, we went across the road to Gerald's for tires.

Absolutely amazing - got a flat tire on the road this morning - it was flat and hissing when I pulled into their parking lot. I was met in the parking lot. John and the crew had my tire off and working on things before I had even stepped foot in the office. Thank you all so very much - genuinely, there was a lot on my plate this morning. You guys turned this flat tire into something that barely disrupted the day. Good people! Good work! Recommend to all!

Thank you to the staff, they were able to get me in the same day for major stud replacement work, along with other issues- not easy! They managed to get me back on the road in just a few hours!! Great customer service, clean and professional workplace and the price was great 👍 actually cheaper labor than other places, I appreciate that so much! Give this local place your business, they definitely deserve it!

This shop was a lifesaver! We were heading home to Knoxville, TN after a week on Isle of Palms and discovered a nail in our tire. We made it to Carolina Tire on our spare and they were wonderful. They repaired our tire and had us back on the road in a very short time. We were so fortunate to find them for our repair. Excellent service!

Tyler, Jackson and Jackson.....thank you. This place was a God send for my wife and I. Initially, we went to Walmart for an oil change and 2 new tires. To our surprise, Walmart was not able to remove our tires to put on new ones. In a panic, we quickly called Carolina Tire & Brake and they were very happy to help. We arrived 15 minutes after calling and they put on 2 new tires within 20 minutes! Tyler is incredible. He was patient very kind and patient with us. Tyler knows so much about cars and was able to break down car terminology in ways that we could easily understand. We felt so well taken care of. He represented the company so well that we thought he was the owner! He had so many nice things to say about the owner, CK, who wasn't there at the time. He seemed very sincere when he talked about the friend he has in CK. Jackson and Jackson, thank you so much for being so quick yet still so efficient. Give these boys a raise! :) We felt very safe and stress free after leaving this great place. We're new to the area and think we may have just found our trusted local mechanic shop for years to come. God bless you all. What a great team!
